I initially reacted to the major changed made to the tour, but this is not rational. It is interesting that Astana was not invited while Rabobank was. Rasmussen created bigger headlines than Vinokurov as he was in yellow at the time of his removal from the tour. How come they are allowed to race? I simply quote Johan Bruyneel on why they are excluded, maybe Astana had a "too strong team". Having followed TdF since long, I will not bother with it this year. Subsequent years I will also make Giro my main event as they at least came to their senses. Shame on Christian Prudhomme for fearing another Lance Armstrong! This is mad.
